Frog on a Cracked Wall
For this acrylic painting, I played with texture by using several layers of soapy paint. I emphasized and reinforced lines to imply cracks.

Artist Statement
I’m Bess Hayes, a designer, artist, and writer in Salt Lake City. I have a BA in German literature, an MFA in creative writing, and have now turned my hand to graphic design. For fun, I read, sew, hike, hang out with my dog Frida, and travel when I get the chance.
