Leaning into the Void
SLCC Art Committee Founder Terry Martin Award
This piece delves into themes of isolation and surrender. The subject is caught between gravity and an invisible force pulling them forward, while the vast open landscape with distant mountains emphasizes solitude. The composition feels weightless yet heavy, leaving space for interpretation—perhaps about gravity, resistance, or a pull toward the unknown.

Artist Statement
Photography is my way of capturing the beauty in fleeting moments—the way light dances on a subject, the raw emotion in an unguarded expression, and the subtle details that often go unnoticed. I approach each image as a story waiting to be told, using light, composition, and atmosphere to evoke feeling and connection.
Portraiture is at the heart of my work. Every person carries an individual energy, and my goal is to reflect their essence through my lens.
